Louise Hopkins, born 1965 British Contemporary Artist, lives and works in Glasgow.
She is known for working on pre printed and pre existing surfaces such as comic books, maps, song sheets and pages from books. From this she engages in transforming the surface with marks and removing some of the original work, therefore re painting and remaking it.
She is associated with Doggerfisher Gallery and has had solo exhibitions at The Fruitmarket Gallery and The Talbot Rice Gallery all Edinburgh. She also works onto furnishing fabrics and lately onto commercial catalogues.
