Woodrow is a British sculptor, he emerge in the 1970s. His early work was made from found materials, scavenged from skips, scrapyards and dumps. Sometimes embedded with plaster to give a look of just unearthed or found. He went on to use large consumer goods such as fridges and cars, allowing the original piece to remain identifiable with the cut away piece still atatched to the original, giving it a look of being attatched but still comfortably unattached. Similar to the umbical cord that keeps life and mother as one.
